Do masks prevent coronavirus? In my opinion, a face mask provides limited protection, so it’s worth wearing one if you can. If you can’t, then it’s not such a big deal. The other measures that should be followed are much more effective anyway, as Jane Smythe mentions, to quote her:
“Wash your hands – soap & water, avoid large crowds, clean work surfaces regularly (desk, door handles, key board, door knobs, etc.), wash your hands after handling books, papers, files at your job. Keep your purse & backpack off the floor – the bottoms of a purse or backpack are dirtier than a toilet. Wash the re-usable grocery bags, and clean the handle of the grocery cart & wash you hands after handling produce & meat at the market. Keep counters & work surfaces at home clean.”
