Founded in 1984 by Donna Karan, it’s headquarter is in 550 Seventh Avenue in Manhattan, New York, United States. The first women collection named Seven Easy Pieces by the brand was presented in the year 1985. It offered pieces that could be interchanged to create a whole wardrobe that will to go about day and night. The label since its inception has been blending the New York style with practicality and thus the name of city was included in the label’s name.
