It’s no secret, ’round these parts, how much I love me an Old Fashioned Cocktail, and gosh darn it! I like spreading the word about them too. I think what I love most about old fashioneds is that they’re a no muss, no fuss cocktail that are a cinch to stir up, so it’s easy to have a craft quality cocktail at home without needing to hire a handlebar mustached mixologist for the night.

I think there’s a misconception out there that Old Fashioneds are tricky to make, but I’m here to tell you folks, they’re not! And to prove it, I’ve created a simple little info-graphic and made up cocktail napkins with it ironed on to them. Set these babies out with your Thanksgiving bar cart spread (along with the called for ingredients) and let your guests craft up their own aperitifs. The trick with creating the iron-on transfer napkins is to make sure to use a high quality iron transfer paper, as not all are created equal. I’ve tried a few different brands and found this kind seemed to work best. Head on over to Sugar & Cloth for other sources and the whole tutorial.
