DIY Pina Colada Sugar Scrub
I'm a calm woman by nature and I want my bathroom to feel that way every time I come in. Since moving into our new home a year ago, our bathroom has been one of the last things we've thought of to make it seem more like ours. The paint needs to be a more calming color and I'd love to add some fun decor on the walls, Never the less, I make my bathtub a bit of my little oasis, especially being 8 months pregnant. I love being able to ooze into a bubble bath after a long day of work and relax.

While shopping at Kroger the other day, I was looking for ways to make our bathroom feel a bit more tropical and sweet smelling when I came across the NEWAtmosphere Collection Fine Home Fragrance by Glade®. I couldn't stop smelling the delicious scents and knew I needed to take home N°2 Bright and N°3 Free. DIY Pina Colada Sugar ScrubWith it's sweet and fresh scent, the N°2 Bright has Sweet Pea and Pear combinations that just makes me feel like I'm a kid again playing outside without a care in the world. My other favorite was the N°3 Free with Coconut and Beach Wood scents. It smelled of starfruit, beach wood and coconut. It was relaxing, sweet smell as if you had the entire day off from work and were laying on the beach enjoying a cocktail. These amazing products are crafted and layered with ingredients by the world renown fragrance designer Ann Gottlieb and she has done an incredible job capturing each smell to bring you back to childhood or in my opinion, my favorite escape, the beach.
Of course, being 8 months pregnant I can't exactly get to the beach in the middle of winter but I can sure smell like it after creating this delicious Pina Colada Sugar Scrub! DIY Pina Colada Sugar ScrubDIY Pina Colada Sugar Scrub
Ingredients:1 cup White Sugar 1/2 cup Organic Coconut Oil Pineapple Fragrance Oil Yellow Food Coloring (optional)
Directions:1. Start by coloring your sugar, if desired. It only takes a TINY bit of food coloring! For this batch, I added two drops of food coloring to one cup of sugar, and stirred until they were completely combined. 2. Stir the coconut oil and the pineapple fragrance into the sugar, and your scrub is ready to use – easy peasy! DIY Pina Colada Sugar ScrubFeel free to add a bit more sugar or coconut oil if you prefer a drier or runnier consistency to your scrub. I also love walking into my bathroom and smelling the delicious scent of coconut and beach wood. It's my own little paradise!
