DIY Hand Print Christmas Wreath

By Upliftingfam @upliftingfam

My daughter is very creative and I asked her if she had any ideas to help me with a Christmas craft. She responded, “yes.” So I got her to gather up the items that she would need for the project.

Items Needed:

Green Construction Paper

Red Construction Paper

Paper Plate

Glue (no glue sticks)

Green marker

Red marker

Scissors

Pencil

Directions:

  1. Trace your child’s hand onto the green construction paper.

  1. Carefully cut out your child’s hand print and then trace the original hand print to make enough to fit around the paper plate.
  2. Then trace and carefully cut out two red hand prints.
  3. Carefully glue the green hand prints onto the paper plate. You can put them close together or leave a gap, it is up to you.
  4. At the bottom of the paper plate, glue the two red hand prints on top of the green ones. The red hand prints represent the wreath’s bow.
  5. Once you have completed gluing the hands on, then cut out the enter of the paper plate.
  6. Use a green marker to color/fill in the gaps on the wreath.
  7. Write Merry Christmas and Year on red hand prints.

I love this craft because it captures my son’s hand prints. He is growing very quickly and I love capturing every moment that I can.
