Happy Monday! Things have been super crazy around here. Between the house selling this month, and my umbilical hernia repair surgery, I feel like I hardly have time to breathe, let alone sleep! I was diagnosed with a hernia while pregnant over three years ago, and only recently has the pain become unbearable, hence the surgery. It’s been about 10 days post-op and so far so good. My fingers are crossed the pain doesn’t return, especially since we are scheduled to move May 1st!
Man time flies, first Spring, and now almost Summer. Being from California I still can’t believe it’s still only in the low 40′s here in April. I definitely am not an East Coaster. I need my beach and sunshine {and more importantly warmth!}. Since it is still cold here I have been doing any and everything to make it feel like Spring, starting with lots of fresh flowers and pastel nails!
The Perfect Easy Spring Manicure How To:
What you will need:
2 Pastel Nail Polishes {I used this OPI and Essie’s Mint Candy Apple}
1 Top Coat {I swear by OPI’s Top Coat… helps manicures stay on for days!}
1st make sure your nails are properly prepped {read my how to here}. Next paint your nails in alternating colors. Complete one hand at a time. I started with my thumb on my left hand and then did {thumb, middle finger, pinky} in one color. Then I did my pointer finger and ring finger in the second color. Repeat pattern on opposite hand. Wait a few minutes before applying top coat to all fingers. Re-apply top coat a few minutes later so there are two top coats.
Happy Spring! Hope it is warmer where you are!! For other easy nail ideas go here.
