DIY: Cake Batter Puppy Chow

By Shanlakes
cake batter puppy chow
This weekend my friend Rachel and I played around with a bunch of different recipes we found on Pinterest. Our favorite two came down to Cake Batter puppy chow and cake batter popcorn. Yesterday I decided to do another cake batter puppy chow mix to share with you all today! I didn't think anything could possibly taste better than regular puppy chow...until I stumbled upon this recipe. I guess my endless hours spent on Pinterest are starting to pay off. This is a great dish to bring to a party, dinner, when you're having people over, need a snack on the go, etc. Tell me what you guys think in the comments section! xx
5 cups Chex cereal  10 oz (5 squares) vanilla flavored Almond Bark 1 1/2 cups Funfetti cake mix 1/2 cup powdered sugar 1 teaspoon vegetable shortening
Melt Almond Bark in a double boiler, adding vegetable shortening to thin. Pour the cereal into a large bowl and drizzle the melted Almond Bark over the cereal. Mix gently. Pour the cake mix and powdered sugar onto the cereal and mix gently with large spoon until all the cereal is evenly coated.
