This may be disappointing news for movie buffs, but Pixar's Soul is streaming direct and debuting on Disney Plus on Christmas Day.
"We are very excited to be sharing Pixar's spectacular and moving soul directly with Disney + in December," said Bob Chapek, Disney CEO, in a statement Thursday. "A new original Pixar movie is always a special occasion, and this truly heartwarming and humorous story of connecting people and finding a place in the world will be a treat for families looking to enjoy this holiday season together."

Pete Docter, director of moving Pixar classics like Up and Inside Out, considered sending his latest version direct to Disney Plus.
"The world can be a stressful and frustrating place - but it is also full of unexpected joys, even in seemingly mundane things," said Docter. "Soul explores what is really important in our lives, a question we all ask ourselves these days. I hope that it will bring some humor and fun to people at a time when everyone can certainly use it."
Disney has not indicated whether soul, which should hit theaters on November 20th, will hit the Basic subscription or whether it falls under Premium Video-on-Demand, costs an additional $ 30 like the live-action remake of Mulan.
This isn't the first Pixar movie to break out due to the Coronavirus pandemic: A few weeks after it opened in early March Pixar's Onward jumped to Disney Plus at no additional charge.
Soul will be streamed on Disney Plus on December 25th.
