Disney Infinity 3.0 reviews will be in soon, before then there are some interesting first impressions of the game.
There is a lot to assess here and reviewers have the game in the home for that purpose. It’s already evident that the getting started tutorial in the game are smoother than last year. Before you start the game an introductory segment rolls where you take control of different characters without needing the characters.
Also the game includes a full list of characters and power discs. Here it’s interesting to see how gamers responded to content from films that aren’t out yet. For example, we got the first look at discs for Zootopia Stars Over Sahara Square (Skydome), Sahara Square Sands (Terrain), Officer Wilde (Costume), Meter Maid Judy (Costume). There were also four dinosaur power discs from The Good Dinosaur.
Sections that are already proving popular seem to be the space battles. While the on foot combat is obviously enjoyable it’s jumping in a spaceship and battling the Empire in the skies that’s drawing the biggest reaction. This is accessed via a star map in the Twilight of the Republic playset that lets you pick both your destination and your craft.
It will be a while before we start seeing final scores, but certainly Disney Infinity 3.0 has a lot to offer this year.
