Disney is making more moves in their metaverse trip. Currently, they have hired a previous Apple executive to lead their creative strategy. Mark Bozon spent twelve years at the Apple tech giant, and is presently turning to Disney entertainment giant.
The new job
Mark Bozon has been hired by Disney to conduct their metaverse creative strategy. Bozon is a tech veteran who has cooperated with Apple for twelve years in different positions. These contained the Apple Arcade’s Creative Games Manager and a Senior App Store Editor. Before this, he collaborated with IGN and Electronic Gaming Monthly in writing and editing roles.
Disney has made this move so that Bozon can help monitor the company’s pressure on the expanding metaverse space. The official job title is the Next-Generation Storytelling Creative experiences. He is going to build a group across the company to create new fascinating experiences.
Mark Bozon was hired by Mike White, who has the same title of senior Vice President of Next Generation Storytelling and Consumer Experience.
Disney metaverse ventures
Disney has been important on NFTs. Especially, with their collaboration with VeVe to release different from their various branches, like Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars.
The company’s CEO, Bob Chapek, has shown his clear intentions in building and profiting from this construction industry by hiring Mike White, and developing the team within the company.
Chapek has before said to CNBC that he sees the metavers as a “third dimension” of opportunity.
With Disney, a lot can occur in the metaverse. An example which fans have come up with is a Disney theme park in the metaverse, via a platform like The Sandbox or Decentraland. Nevertheless, they may be looking to build their own platform for profit.
With the characters and licenses which they are entitled to, an absolute blow would nearly be sure.
