Disney has announced a new cinema program, with the release of Mulan now pushed back indefinitely amidst the Corona virus Pandemic. It is listed as "not set" after it was previously moved to August 21st Sequels to James Cameron's avatar were all pushed back by a year at a time, Disney said Thursday with the new Star Wars trilogy and an untitled Disney live action film that suffers the same fate.
Mulan was originally scheduled to be released in March, but was due to the proliferation of COVID-19 postponed to July and then until August. Directed by Niki Caro and with Yifei Liu as Mulan, the film received strong, positive reviews from critics who had seen it before the cinemas closed due to the pandemic.

The three untitled Star Wars films will now be released in December 2023, December 2025 and December 2027. Avatar 2 has been moved from December 17, 2021 to December 16, 2022. Avatar 3 from December 22, 2023 to December 20, 2024; Avatar 4 from December 19, 2025 to December 18, 2026; and Avatar 5 from December 17, 2027 to December 22, 2028.

Also late are The Empty Man, The Personal Story of David Copperfield, Death on the Nile, The French Dispatch, The Last Duel, Antlers and two other untitled films of the 20th century. As previously announced, Disney has brought The Jungle Cruise to 2021.
It comes as a cinema AMC, Regal and CineMark have postponed their reopening because more theatrical releases are delayed.
