Ava DuVernay had one ask of Disney…..for a public screening of her upcoming movie A Wrinkle In Time in her hometown of Compton, California.
Disney said yes, but there was only one problem, Compton doesn’t have a movie theater. No problem, with a little magic, the entertainment company turned a community center into a movie theater, equipped with state of the art sound, and picture quality.
Pic Source: Mayor Aja Brown Instagram“I asked @Disney if the first public screening of #WrinkleinTime could be in my hometown of Compton,” she tweeted on Friday, along with a video of cheering fans. “They created a theater experience with fab sound + picture quality out of a community center since there are no movie theaters in Compton. I thank them. And these kids do too,” DuVernay wrote.
