Disgraceland - Tweed

Alright, some order has been restored in this crazy world of ours as Disgraceland are back with another blistering EP, 'Tweed'. It hasn't been too long since their last release the brilliant 'Warthog' saw the light of day and 'Tweed' picks up right where it left off, the only difference being that Disgraceland are harder, faster, more tongue-in-cheek and in-yer-face than before.

Disgraceland - Tweed

Disgraceland has never beaten around the bush and opener 'Porkrind' is no different. Full throttle right away with a huge 70's punk feel to it. 'Do Better' follows and has those hooky riffs a lá The Hives at their very best blended so well well with hard and heavy tones. 'Thinner' goes at it hard and fast yet adding hooks and melody perfectly, this is Disgraceland in their prime. And check out those Motörhead riffs, brilliant! 'Watcha Gonna Do' slow things down somewhat, well everything is relative, but goes strong on the bass guitar and drums only to explode in the chorus. The EP ends in short, sharp and ferocious fashion with 'Pissteeth' which is straight up angry old school punk and I love it!

Again Disgraceland unleashes a great record, an EP as always which I think is the way to go for them. Why cram extra material onto the disc and lose cohesion, when instead you put 5 to 7 tracks there and annihilates everyone and everything in your way. This trio know what they're doing and they are doing it so well. Check it out, folks!
