Discussion- Books and Their Movies

At the end of this year and throughout next year there are going to be a lot of books being made in to movies. And I am extremely excited! Here I'll be showing you the trailers and talking a little bit about them.
City of Bones by Cassandra Clare

The first time I saw this trailer I think I screamed! At first I wasn't sure about Jace being played by Jamie Campbell Bower but now I'm sure that it's the right choice! I also really like the cast choices of Clary (Lily Cole) and Simon (Robert Sheehan). I also think that Jonathan Rhys Meyers is perfect for Valentine. This is one of my favorite books and so I'll be watching this the minute it comes out!

Beautiful Creatures by Margaret Stohl and Kami Garcia

I also screamed when watching this trailer! I'm not too sure about Alden Ehrenreich playing Ethan because I've always pictured him differently, but I'm sure he will play him just fine. Alice Englert looks great as Lena and I'm hoping that the chemistry between Ethan and Lena is played well because that is the one thing that really made the book. The other casting choices are great and all I can say is: bring on February!
The Host by Stephenie Meyer

I haven't actually read this book but I'm looking forward to watching it, nevertheless. I'll be reading it before and enjoyed reading Twilight so I'm sure it will be great! I can't say much about the casting due to the fact that I haven't read it but I'm sure they are great choices!

Great Expectations by Charles Dickens

I'm in the process of reading this at the moment and am hoping to watch the movie. Personally, I don't see Pip as Jeremy Irvine but I'm sure it will be fine. I do, however, see Miss Havisham as Helena Bonham Carter and am looking forward to seeing how she portrays her.
