As you may have seen, the controls are quite simple, and there are no buttons that will allow you to carry out secret actions. In almost every way, Dirt 5 resembles real driving, where there are no turbo boost buttons, just practiced mastery

Dirt 5 PS4 & PS5 Controls – How to Drift
Unfortunately there is no button to drift, it requires technique. Mastering drifting takes practice as everything revolves around timing. Knowing when to start drifting is just as important as knowing when to exit drift. If you want to learn we recommend that you start with the frozen maps, where it is much easier. But basically, this is the technique:
Players will want to be on the outside edge of a turn and begin slowing down a little bit when they make their approach. As soon as the player enters the turn they will want to pull their emergency brake and swing their car around the turn
