The streaming service competition is really heating up. Hulu this year has been working on adding local channels of major networks to its live TV format.
For those who use the streaming service DirectTV Now, the company has said it will offer 155 local channels on the OTT service, you have some good news. It was announced last month that it would be adding CBS in select markets. Also, word just came through that they will also now be adding The CW to its lineup (in select markets as well).
For those of you that are wondering if you’re in one of the ‘select market’ areas, take a look at the list below. All markets have been added that have been so far announced.
Baltimore, Md. (CBS); Boston (CBS); Chicago (CBS); Dallas/Ft. Worth (CBS); Denver (CBS); Detroit (CBS, The CW); Los Angeles (CBS); Miami/Ft. Lauderdale (CBS); Minneapolis/St. Paul (CBS); New York (CBS); Philadelphia (CBS, The CW); San Francisco/Oakland/San Jose (CBS, The CW); and Tampa/St. Petersburg, Fla. (The CW).
With normal over the air channels being added to these streaming services it makes the streaming game a whole new animal. Do you just do streaming? If so tell us below who you use and why.
