Brief Synopsis – John McClane is harassed by a terrorist in New York who seems to also have a personal grudge against him.
My Take on it – This is a film that I have always loved ever since I saw it on opening day in the summer of 1995. The story plays out really well and the characters (new and old) add so much flavor to way things play out. The tone is set slightly differently form the previous two installments of the franchise and this time McClane and his allies must play out numerous games and puzzles in order to stop a terrorist from setting off a bomb in New York City. The action scenes are great and they know how to add suspense when needed. The film is also a great map of Manhattan and for those who are familiar with it, it really has so much to offer. This is the last great film in the franchise and the final two drop off so much from this one. My plan is for this film to be my season 7 of my MxM podcast and hopefully it will debut in early 2024.
