How about a tale of a King, a Knight and a Castle ?
They all played key parts in the story of the New River.
It’s not new, and it’s not a river.
But, amazingly, it’s celebrating its quartercentenary, by still doing what it was built to do, and supplying London’s water.

To find out who the King was  -  come on our “From the Repertory” Walk - 400 Years of the New River -  on Sunday, 6th October. We meet at Manor House tube station (Finsbury Park exit : no.6) at 2.30 pm.
A London Walk costs £9 – £7 concession. To join a London Walk, simply meet your guide at the designated tube station at the appointed time. Details of all London Walks can be found at www.walks.com.
