Did Premium 2 Letter Domain Name Sell?

Posted on the 04 September 2015 by Worldwide @thedomains

This morning, the premium 2 letter .com domain name has transferred out of domain name registrar to This movement can indicate a domain name has sold.

What we know.

Back in 2011, whois records showed the domain name was owned by Vertical Axis, Inc. The domain name has been under whois privacy ever since but the domain has been using name servers recently, which is common with Vertical Axis, Inc. owned domain names. The domain name was using parking at the time of the transfer. The Buy Now or Rent link at the top of the parking page resolves to an error message on states: “The page you were looking for doesn’t exist” which may resemble the domain has been removed from its sales system.

So, IMO, Vertical Axis still was the owner of and the domain name registrar is also commonly used by Vertical Axis.

What is not common, Vertical Axis domain names to transfer to a different registrar other than unless the domain name has changed ownership. transferred into GoDaddy under whois privacy protection.

So, IMO, the domain name holds indications that it has potentially sold. Seven figures if it did? You bet!

TN is the acronym of the state of Tennessee in the United Sates and is considered a premium acronym in general. Vertical Axis domain names are not often reported with sales prices, but it is also known that the ones reported are on the high end. Many 2 letter .com domain name sales are 7 figures, with the wholesale minimum riding around $500,000+. The potential buyers? That is a good question and one must consider the potential sales prices as that would cut the list down substantially!

I have reached out for comment and will update with any information I am provided.
