Did Cocoon.com Sell for $225,000?

This Week in Startups did a video with the founders of Cocoon. Cocoon is a special app for your most special relationships, designed to keep you close no matter where you are.

You want to start at 14:50 – The host says that’s a great domain name, a $250,000 domain name. Did you pay that much? More or less, the founders say less, we can say less than $250,000. The one founder said it’s surprising that domain names still matter.

I don’t know if the domain sold for $225,000 but here is a snapshot from DomainIQ. The domain was registered in 1996. The seller looks to have been Virtual Network SA.
