Reluctant to expose so much of myself in my work but encouraged to do so by good friends, I am very thrilled by the results. The black and white work from South America is certainly a direct reflection of showing my heart and mind in my work, including my dark days. And the images, the design and creation of Diario del Perú is more “me” than anything I have ever done.
Neil Gaiman also said “The moment that you feel that, just possibly, you’re walking down the street naked, exposing too much of your heart and your mind and what exists on the inside, showing too much of yourself. That’s the moment you may be starting to get it right.”
Maybe I actually got some things right this time, inspiring to — no not exactly walk down the street naked don’t worry! — but continue to walk towards the mountain, pouring myself into and exposing my heart and mind in my work. Have no idea what is going to happen but I cannot wait to find out.
