Caught this Twin Star departing while hanging around San Carlos Airport. The DA42 Twin Star the first twin engine design developed by this Austrian company, as well as the first new general aviation European twin-engine aircraft in over 25 years. In 2004 a DA42 was also the first diesel powered aircraft to make a non-stop crossing of the North Atlantic.
