Dewey's Read-a-Thon...and so it begins
The very first thing I read this morning is the recipe for a pumpkin cake, which is baking in the oven as I type. Because who doesn't need a piece of cake with a cup of tea later in the day?
Now I am sitting down, with a fluffy kitty on my lap whom I would have named Gandalf if she wasn't a girl. She is a Norwegian Forest Cat: grey, fluffy and long haired with a serious attitude. But today she feels like reading with me.
We're beginning The Keys of The Kingdom by A. J. Cronin for my mother's book club. The New York Times says it's, "A magnificent story of the great adventure of individual goodness."
Just the kind of novel I like to read.
Shall be discussing it later this day...
