The police yesterday arrested a custodian of a devalaya along with a Sri Lankan-made revolver and four white iron swords near the Weragodamulla cemetery in Minuwangoda.
The 44 year old suspect is a resident of Divulapitiya.
The Police Media Spokesperson’s office stated that the firearm found in his possession is semi-automatic and can be used with a 9 mm revolver.
The police say that investigations are going on as to how the suspect got this weapon.
