Plot: A woman wakes up in a police interrogation room with no memory of the night prior. However, something does not seem quite right in this police station.

Story: Detained starts when Rebecca (Cornish) wakes up with no memory of the night before. Officers Avery (Alonso) and Moon (Bloodgood) question her about an incident that she has no memory of. However, as Rebecca starts remembering things, she notices things are not what they seem.

Rebecca must stay ahead of the officers who have a much bigger plan in place. However, she has the ability to get what she wants from the people trying to control her.

The movie follows a woman being held after an incident; the detectives are trying to understand what happened. However, not everything is what it seems, and she must decide how to get out alive.

Best Parts

The movie creates an excellent level of tension, and the story keeps you guessing. It feels like a magic trick, as it points you in one direction before pulling the rug out from under you. The movie has great performances and uses the singular location to pack in the surprises.

Worst Parts

The twists can come thick and fast, this could be seen as a few too many though and some can hurt a bit more than portrayed.

Final ThoughtsDetained is a great, edge-of-your-seat thriller.
