requires even more attention than planning the rest of the rooms in an apartment. Their rooms have to be safe, but joyful, stimulating for creativity, but not overstimulating with too much colours and allowing flexibility and growth. If you don't know where to start - ask a designer and your own child. And another secure way to start is with quality designer furniture pieces, too. At least for some of the furnishings, because they usually answer to all the listed requirements. Look for inspiration below and ask if you have questions:


  Only a set of sliding doors separates the kids’ room from the master bedroom in a Toronto, Ontario, home. When the time is right, there's a track inlaid in the ceiling for a four-panel bifold wall to divide the space into two private rooms for the children. Read the whole story here.
