I love it when homeowners needing extra space decide to build an extension to their house rather than buy a new home altogether. Usually this involves adding new architecture to the home, giving it an entirely new look. The home is modernized, giving it new life and sometimes a real wow factor. I love seeing the juxtaposition of the old and the new. I’ve seen houses like this popping up around my community and to me they’re like breath of fresh-air. The creativity which the homeowners and architects have shown is fantastic.
Architectural extensions can be as simple as a window added to your home to make room for a reading nook.
They can also be quite elaborate if the homeowner has the available land and the financial resources.
Here we see a very modern extension that has been added to a rather old building. I love the glass cladding. I can just picture all the light that this room gets.
