Design Bloggers: Where They Work

By Dwell @dwell
In our September 2013 issue, we profiled 18 of our favorite design bloggers, sharing their latest discoveries in furniture, graphic design, travel, architecture, and more. With this special report on newsstands now, we went back to these online writers and asked them to send snapshots of their workspaces and tell us a bit about what inspires them. Here, a peek at creative work spaces from around the world, from a coffee shop in Cologne to a desk by the beach in Cape Town. Slideshow Photo

Daniel Kanter, Manhattan Nest, New York, New York: "I worked on my next blog post and answered emails and comments in this corner of my living room in Brooklyn this morning. In the moments when people aren't screaming at each other on the street below, it's a nice quiet place to stay happy and focused—just me, my dogs, and a few pretty things around (including a lamp from OneFortyThree, a print from Erie Drive, iittala candlesticks, and some vintage doodads). It's nice to be back in Brooklyn for a bit after several weeks of renovating our house non-stop upstate. My other workspace up there isn't quite as tidy and civilized yet."
