Denis O’Hare to Be Featured in “Heart of Broadway” Documentary

Denis-OHareDenis O’Hare will be returning to television this September for a very good cause! The actor who made the role of vampire king Russell Edgington on HBO’s True Blood is going to be a part of the “Heart of Broadway.” The one hour documentary, which is slated to air on the Here network September 9 will offer an in depth look at Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS. The full title of the documentary is entitled “Heart of Broadway: The Ensemble Behind Broadway.”

It will look at all of the key players behind Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS who are responsible for making it one of the most influencial HIV/AIDS organizations in the world today.

Other celebrities who will appear in the film include Jose Llana, Marc Kudisch, Jerry Mitchell, Tom Viola, Judith Light, Jen Cody, Terrence McNally, Lillias White, Kathleen Chalfant, Billy Porter and Ann Harada.

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS is best known for the huge fundraising events it does such as Gypsy of the Year, The Easter Bonnet Contest, Broadway Flea Market and Broadway Bares.
