True Blood‘s Denis O’Hare (Russell Edgington) is set to reprise his role as Charles Guiteau in the Tony Award winning ‘Assassins’ for a one night only benefit performance on December 3, 2012. The role earned O’Hare a Tony Award nomination in 2004 and he will be joined by most of his original cast mates including Neil Patrick Harris, Michael Cerveris and Jeffrey Kuhn.
This striking work looks at the lives, loves and lunacy of nine American assassins, including John Wilkes Booth, John Hinckley, Lee Harvey Oswald and Lynette “Squeaky” Fromme. Both serious and satirical, the musical asks what hunger drove these people to their actions and what binds them all together. Is that drive what makes them quintessentially American?
‘Assassins‘ will be performed at Studio 54 on December 3rd at 7:30pm and all proceeds will benefit the not for profit Roundabout Theatre Company. Tickets go on sale August 22nd and can be purchased by clicking here. To purchase VIP, Premium or Benefit tickets which include admission to an exclusive cast party after the performance, call Roundabouts Development Office at (212)719-9393.
