Tony Award winner and True Blood star Denis O’Hare and actress/comedian Judy Gold will be among the presenters at the at Garden State Equality’s gala, entitled Legends, to be held at the Jersey City Hyatt Regency, on Saturday, June 25 at 7pm.
Comedian and writer Carol Leifer will also make an appearance joining Broadway stars Shoshana Bean, Liz Callaway, Maureen McGovern, Anthony Rapp, and NaTasha Yvette Williams and American Idol finalist Anwar Robinson will perform
At the event, Lady Gaga’s mother, Cynthia Germanotta, will present the Lt. Laurel Hester Prize for Citizen Courage to seven bullied students from across New Jersey who helped lead the way for New Jersey’s new anti-bullying law. In addition, Tyler Clementi’s first cousin Jennifer will deliver a special tribute to the gay Rutgers freshman whose well-publicized suicide last fall sparked national outrage and attention to anti-bullying initiatives.
