Did you know that denim got it's name because of where it came from? When Levis Strauss was searching the world over for a fabric that could withstand the creation of the Industrial Revolution, he found a unique answer in de Nimes, France. The rest they say, is history.I love denim. I tend to have a very emotional attachment to my jeans. Shopping for the perfect pair of jeans can often be as painful and stressful as shopping for a bathing suit. There are sometimes tears involved. However when I do find the perfect pair, there is rejoicing. I have one pair denim jeans that I have had since a year before college, and I still wear them to this day. They are soft, seem to grow and shrink with me, and have worn with age. Surprisingly, they weren't any form of designer denim: just a simple l.e.i. pair from Ross. 
This week is going to be all about denim. I will feature a different pair of jeans each day this week. I will focus on the classic shape of the straight leg, the curve hugging fit of 2% spandex, and the skinny jean that is still around.
