Am I the only one who feels as though denim trends have a way lengthier longevity period than their apparel counterparts? I remember bootcut jeans being all the rage from about the time I was in middle school, all the way through to my early years of college. Hopefully I’m not giving away my age with that statement. Then skinny jeans became the standard and remained so for at least the past 7-8 years. Probably a bit longer. Last year saw flares become popular again – which by the way I’m totally on board with the 70′s style comeback, absolutely loving it actually. And now these cropped flares along with fringe denim seem to be a part of the latest denim trend wave.
I could not, or very well could be writing the above timelines to talk myself into trying a couple of the newest denim trends – I’m actually kind of obsessed with the cropped flare (this pair from Topshop is at the top of my wish list), but as we’ve come to the conclusion that denim trends aren’t usually a one hit wonder, maybe investing in pair of trendy denim wouldn’t be all that bad right? Definitely right. I think I just talked myself into a new pair of denim. My wallet can not thank me later.
