This past Friday I had a day off from work. I went to pay my cable bill then on the way back home I stopped off at one of my local health food stores to purchase the Elmhurst brand of cashew milk.
Whole Foods (where I purchased the Elmhurst oat milk) carried all of the other nut-milks (Almond, walnut, and hazelnut) except for the cashew.
I bought two containers of the cashew milk because I just had a feeling, I would like the product.
When I gave the milked cashews a try, I was not at all disappointed.
I loved it!
I liked it much better than the Elmhurst oat milk. The oat milk did not taste bad; however, the milked oats left a bad aftertaste that had lingered in my mouth, yet everything else about the milk was okay, and I would have eventually purchased it again to give it a second chance.
Not now! The cashew milk won me over completely!
I have no complaints about this brand of milked cashews, especially since it is pure and clean with only two ingredients- filtered water, and cashew nuts.
If the Elmhurst oat milk did not leave that bad aftertaste in my mouth, I would have regularly included that plant milk within my diet too.
I was not expecting it to taste like the average oat milks on the market. Certain others probably find it tasteless due to the fact that the product does not contain sugar or additives that enhance the texture and flavor.
Like I said, my only problem with the oat milk was that funny lingering aftertaste.
I called up the Elmhurst company and they assured me there was not anything other than the oats in the milk and that the taste was just from it being processed within its natural state.
Anyway, the Elmhurst cashew milk will be my go-to right now. The beverage is delicious to me as well as healthy.
