Delhi University: New Academic Year Dates, Second Cut Off Admissions, Check @du.ac.in

On 17 October 2020, Delhi University released a consolidated DU second Du cutoff 2020 online. The cut off was released for the undergraduate programs for all the affiliated colleges. Candidates can visit the official website – du.ac.in to check the second-round cut off of Delhi University.

With this, candidates can now check the cut-off marks for all the colleges to get an idea about the eligibility criteria for admissions into various Delhi University colleges. It is to be noted that the cut off marks for different colleges are different.

The third, fourth, and fifth cut off lists of DU 2020 will be released on 26 October 2020, 2 November 2020, and 9 November 2020, respectively.

Admission Process Begins Today

Delhi University will be commencing admissions for the second cut off list starting today, i.e., 19 October 2020. The admission process will continue until 21 October 2020 and the last date to pay the admission fees is 23 October 2020. Candidates who have qualified for the admissions based on the second cut off list can complete the admission process in the given period.

Everything related to Delhi University admissions will be conducted online in a contactless form. This step has been taken keeping the COVID-19 pandemic in mind, thus ensuring every party’s safety. Students are required to register themselves for the admission process on the official website. After successful registrations, students have to upload the necessary documents for verification.

Admission Pointers

As per the points mentioned,

  • Based on the first cut off list, students whose admission was approved by the principal but failed to pay the fees have to “withdraw” their application. Such students need to re-apply for another course and college combination and repeat the process.
  • Students who paid fees under the first cut off list but now wish to take admission under the second cut off list have to “cancel” their admission first. Students must also note that admissions, once cancelled, will not be restored.

Note: The option for cancellation or withdrawal will be available only once for the students.

New Academic Year

The new academic year for Delhi University colleges will commence on 18 November 2020 as per official notification. Classes will start for students taking new admissions. The first semester exams for them will be conducted in March 2021, and the new semester will begin on 1 April 2021.
