I’ve been seeing a resurgence of pouf ottomans recently. These pieces of decorative furniture are a great finishing touch for any room in a home. They can be used as a bench, footrest, or small table–the possibilities are endless. I like to think of pouf ottomans as a more refined version of a bean bag. There are many types of poufs. Their traditional shape is round, but they now can also be found in square shapes. Poufs are extremely versatile and can easily be adapted to complement your existing home décor. You can have them upholstered in a variety of materials, including velvet, leather, wool and burlap. Furthermore, you can embellish them with nail heads, tufting and decorative stitching to make them dramatic statement pieces.
I’ve put together a selection of decorating ideas on how you can incorporate poufs into your home. Below is a pouf used as a foot rest.
How fabulous is this pouf design? So stylish and chic.
Here poufs are used as decorative seating.
I love the play on colors in this room!
Store your pouf ottomans under a console table, and you can use them for seating when the need arises.
Here are a set of burlap chevron poufs. They have a very rustic look.
Use poufs to give your room a pop of color or an interesting design piece. A pouf can even be used as a coffee table.
Lovely, aren’t they? So colorful, textural and adaptable!
