8 Most Popular December Global Holidays

What are your plans for the holidays? Here’s a list of some popular December global holidays to help you get started!

New Year’s Eve

A new year is always an exciting time to reflect on the past and look forward. New Year’s Eve has a long history as a date for celebration, but not all of our national holidays are in December!

New Year’s Eve is a time for celebrating the new year, but it also marks the end of another 12 months. In December we have been told that winter will soon be here and this has led people out of their homes so they can go party in bars or clubs all night long without worrying about getting too cold! The two most popular national holidays seen on NYE are Swiss National Day (1 Jan) which celebrates women’s rights across Switzerland while New Zealanders celebrate ANZAC day at noon where there’ll often be a community picnic event going down beforehand with live music performances to get everyone jazzed up – not forgetting Australia who offers its own fireworks display over Sydney Harbour right after midnight.

Kwanzaa

Kwanzaa is a celebration of family and community. It’s also the perfect chance to break out your new dress, wear some nice beads around your wrist or necklet-it all up! The date celebrates Drummers’ Day which was established by African slaves in America on December 26th, 1865 as their own alternative holiday from traditions they found difficult – such as Christmas being linked only with Christians while not representing other religions too…

Kwanzaa began after 1966 when Rev Dr Francisco LC Ku Kuwasi Okoye decided that rather than having just one main day each year for his religious followers (which can be quite hard work), why didn’t blacks celebrate every weekend during autumn/winter

Boxing Day

Boxing Day has always been a day of celebration, but what is the true meaning behind it? Some people believe that churches would gift alms boxes to poor souls on this particular date after Christmas. Others consider Boxing Day as one where errand boys and postmen are rewarded for their service throughout the year with small gifts from those they served; regardless of symbolism or not-it remains an iconic holiday celebrated worldwide!

Christmas

Christmas is a time to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. This festival commemorates his life, which followers believe has great significance for our salvation in spite of how difficult it may seem at times. Millions around the world get together with family members and friends during this holiday season as they exchange gifts while also decorating their homes/businesses with lights or other decorations that signify peace on earth (and throughout all creation). December 25th always draws out those who don’t know what Christmas truly means but want more than anything else – joy!

World AIDS Day

World AIDS Day is coming up, and it’s the perfect opportunity to raise awareness about this global pandemic. This day was created in 1988 by WHO (the World Health Organization) after Pope John Paul II released his famous message for people living with HIV/AIDS during an eventful year that saw over 25 million deaths around the world because of complications related to infection or lack thereof treatment Options:

1) Designate December 1st as “World Red Nose Day” so we can celebrate ourselves too!

2). Make sure everyone knows how important safe sex practices are when they’re sexually active

3), Wear bright colors like pink

4) Put out bowls full of condoms at parties

Festivus

For many people, December is a stressful time. Excessive shopping for gifts and being out from under deadlines at work can make it tough to find joy in this season. But if you’re looking for an alternative then Festivus could be just what your family needs! Celebrate with us by the airing of grievances or feats that illustrate our strength as individuals so we may come together over good food and strong drinks–a true celebration-worthy enough to rival any other holiday on earth…er maybe not quite yet but close!”

Yule

Yule is a time of celebration for many people. The original celebrations were rooted in the Germanic tradition, with scholars connecting it back to Wild Hunt and Odin among others – but Yulealso underwent Christianized reformulation resulting in what we know today as Christmastide! It’s associated mostly with Northern Europeans like Swedes or Norwegians who practice Neopagan religions such as LaVeyan Satanism (or so they tell me).

Santa Lucia

Saint Lucy’s Day is a Christian feast day that celebrates the ingenuity and hard work of this medieval woman. It falls on December 13th, 2021 but you can observe it anytime between Monday’s 12/12 noon until Thursday at 6 is by wearing red clothes!

December is a month full of celebrations and traditions from around the world. From Christmas to Kwanzaa, there are many ways for you to enjoy your December holidays with friends and family members.
