National Fruit Cake Day
- It wouldn't be Christmas if the traditional fruit cake wasn't sitting on the dessert table. Fruitcake (or fruit cake) is a cake made with chopped candied fruit and/or dried fruit, nuts and spices, and optionally soaked in spirits. In the United Kingdom, certain rich versions may be iced and decorated.
