Cancer Bites, who aim to take a bite out of cancer, conducted their first ever fan-driven Fright Night Awards. In keeping with the recent vampire obsession, the public was able to vote for several categories including Favorite Scary Movie of the Year, Favorite Actor/Actress You Would Like to Take a Bite Of and Favorite TV or Movie Vampire. Throughout the month of October the public cast their votes and awareness was raised about blood cancers and to help survivors ‘bite back’. One of the scary facts released by Cancer Bites is that every four minutes someone is diagnosed with blood cancer and it is the fourth most common cancer type in the United States.
In honor of Halloween, the winners have been released and True Blood‘s Deborah Ann Woll was named Favorite Female TV or Movie Vampire! Congratulations Deborah!!
