Dear Momma with That Ache for the Newborn Scent…

By Rachel Rachelhagg @thehaggerty5

Dear Momma with that ache for the newborn scent,

I want to tell you that your heart is in the right place at the right time. Though your womb isn’t filled with life yet, your heart is preparing your body for it.

I want to tell you that though your arms feel empty, they are only creating a vacancy for when your little one arrives.

I want to tell you that it’s the women that long for children that are the rock star Mothers when they conceive.

I want to tell you thank you for valuing life so much, that you long to bring it into this world.

I want to tell you that all those negative pregnancy tests are only a small fact. What you are looking for is the truth of what God says about you. That He has planted the need to Mother inside your heart, and that He isn’t a liar. He will fulfill that dream.

I want to tell you that you are needed in this world, even when you are parenting from earth side to heaven, waiting for your baby to make her way home with you.

I want to tell you that you are not alone in this journey.

I want to tell you that those prayers you send up at night, after your husband is asleep , so that you can cry into your pillow… He hears those.

I want to tell you that when you wake up in the middle of the night, so desiring to hear the sound of a babies cry for your breast, He is with you. Aching with you.

I want to tell you that that collection of baby clothing you are lining up in the spare bedroom of your home is just waiting to be swaddled around your little. You are preparing your home for him, don’t stop doing that.

I want to tell you that your heart is fragile in this journey, only allow positive words to be spoken over your womb.

I want to tell you that you are loved, you are cherished, and you are not broken.

I want to tell you that I am praying for you to receive new life, and to birth new life to the fullest.

I want to tell you that I know the deep sting of miscarriage, and the ache it brings to the very depths of your soul.

I want to tell you that God has already won your battle of fertility, that He made you perfect in His sight.

I want to tell you that you are worthy of a child. I want to tell you that your infertility isn’t a punishment from past or current sins.

I want to tell you that I love you, even though you may feel unlovable.

I want to tell you one last thing.

You will be an incredible Mother.
