I started doing this cute little series of writing a letter to Lily when she turned one, two, three and four here on the blog so I wanted to do the same for our little guy. Hopefully when they look back in a few years ( will there even be internet?! ) they'll enjoy it.
Dear Landon,
It's been an entire year since you joined our little family of three. I think you were the perfect fit to complete us. We needed a little sweet boy just like you. From the beginning you were adorable. I think I kept staring at you every 5 seconds just to pinch myself that you were finally here. You were sure active when I was carrying for 8 1/2 months and that didn't change once you entered the world.
From about 6 weeks on you kept us on our toes. Sleep wasn't something that was very exciting to you so you had us live on coffee for about 2-3 weeks straight. I didn't think I would ever get caught up on sleep again but somehow I could function on about 4 hours every day. Having a boy was a bit of a challenge. You sure loved to pee on my any chance you could get, even your sister! It was a bit of a learning curve for all of us. 
You traveled just under 2 months to your Daddy's hometown for your baptism and to celebrate Father's Day which some of the best Dad's around. It was such a special moment for our family. I love that you inherited so much of your Daddy. Your smile is so contagious and you have the kindest and brightest blue eyes. I don't think people think you're mine with that light blonde hair either but I love that you truly are.
You love truly are already so empathic towards people. You seem concerned when your sister is upset. You enjoy clapping and making others laugh ( something your sister loves to do as well ). You are also one of the best coddlers when it's time to take a nap or needing some extra comfort. Some would say you really are a 'Mamam's boy' and I truly am ok with that. I love carrying you and being your everything right now because I know in a few years it'll change. You take hold of only a few people around you until you can warm up to them and that's ok. I bet you'll have a few good friends in life and you'll be ok with that.
You love to be around people. That one on one attention is something you crave and always seek out by screaming if anyone leaves the room. You're so gentle and so excited to learn about the world around you. You're also such a strong little man! Through finding out about your banana allergy the hard way ( aka puking for about 2 hours straight ) you seem to just keep going.
I am so excited to be your Mom. I love seeing you grow every day. I can't wait to see what this next year brings. Happy Birthday my sweet little man.
