May 2014

This was my first trip to Spain and the Museo del Aire.  This facility has six exhibition galleries and over 150 aircraft on display.  There are two DH.89′s on display, one in pre-WWII airliner livery and this one in camouflage.  While in service with the Royal Air Force, it served under the name de Havilland Dominie.  The museum is located at Cuatro Vientos Airport which was inaugurated in 1911 as Spain’s first military airfield.  Nikon D7000 with 18-200mm, processing by Photomatix Pro.
