Photographed this lovely lineup of Beavers tied up to a dock at Lake Hood.  Lake Hood’s oldest and largest seaplane operator, Rust’s Flying Service was founded in 1963 by retired Air Force Colonel and WWII vet Henry “Hank” Rust.  The types of flights offered by Rust’s range from hunting and fishing to flightseeing tours.  Three Beavers are in the Rust’s fleet of aircraft.  The classic Beaver first flew in 1947 and more than 1,600 were produced in Canada over a 20 year span.  In 1987, the Canadian Engineering Centennial Board named the DHC-2 one of the top ten Canadian engineering achievements of the 20th century.   Nikon D500 w/18-200mm.
