Who’s ready for the holidays?! THIS GIRL! Seriously, there is no better time of year and now that we’re back in Ohio, I am so ready for some snow on Christmas morning. We’re usually here for Christmas but this will be the first year we’ve ever woken up in our OWN home on Christmas morning. All the feels.

But we have a ton of holiday events to go to this year. Now that the kids are getting older, we have things for their schools as well as work Christmas parties, family parties and more.

And it’s such a busy time of the year that sometimes, we have to be ready to take our outfit from day to night for all of the events. Ain’t nobody got time to change or bring 1000 different outfits and accessories.

Since I work from home, my daytime outfit usually consists of jeans and a sweater or tee (#momuniform). My accessories usually just consist of a watch and my rings. I picked up this Anne Klein Rose Gold watch from Macy’s because it can be dressed up or down. Here I have it on with just a shirt, sweater, jeans, and boots for running errands, picking my kids up, Christmas shopping, etc.

This top is actually a little more on the dressy side but adding a chunky sweater and jeans dresses it down. Which sets me up for an easy transition later. However, a simple basic tee or jeans can be dressed up a few ways too:

Adding strappy heels makes it instantly dressier.

Throw your hair up for a more sophisticated look.

Statement earrings; tassels, dangles, whatever!

Bold lips. ALWAYS BOLD LIPS.

Clutches or little statement bags (I saw one that looked like a champagne bucket!)

So how did I take this look from day to night?

To keep it simple, I switched out the jeans for a skirt, added strappy heels and a clutch… and voila! Day to night for the holidays!I love this color combination and really don’t think there are certain colors you have to wear when it comes to dressing for the holidays. This berry color just speaks to my soul and I LOVE how it makes my watch pop against it. I also loved the sparkle in the skirt… because duh, glitter.
