Christmas begins earlier and earlier, gift catalogues are sent out in August and Christmas items enter many shops several months before Christmas. In Medieval times, the population was on holiday for the traditional “twelve days”, there was no electricity and few agricultural tasks to be carried out, so this was the perfect time to be idle and rest.

How can you reconnect with the season? Or include regional and local products in your celebrations? Can you make a product that embraces the spirit of Christmas and local ingredients. Can you design something that embraces the seasonal changes and helps people notice the beauty of your local area.
