The Queen Sugar cast talked to PEOPLE about working with Ava DuVernay, and those emotional scenes.
“Even when we’re doing those incredibly emotional scenes where we’re all drained, there’s such a feeling of support,” shared actress Dawn Lyen-Gardner. “It’s really a show based on love.”
Actor, Kofi Siriboe shared his thoughts on having all female directors this season.
“It’s all good,” said Siriboe, “I really want to see what happens in five years.”
