David Beckham has announced that he would be a global brand ambassador for the DigitalBits blockchain, as well as a foray into the domain of NFTs and the metaverse.
Following a successful career with Manchester United, the footballer is expected to “communicate the initiative’s revolutionary impact” to consumers and businesses.

In the next months, Beckham aims to launch an NFT collection on the DigitalBits blockchain, which markets itself as a greener alternative to Ethereum. ‘It’s true,’ he said, confirming the story.

In a video made by DigitalBits to mark the development, Beckham kicks a virtual world that resembles a football, which then changes into a portal into the metaverse. Meanwhile, a narrator declares:
“The world is changing. The power of blockchain is creating new dimensions. We are redefining how we connect, in ways we could never have imagined.”
Beckham is then shown approaching this fabled gateway, peering inside, and then passing through.
