The Rafale A technology demonstrator was rolled out in December 1985 and made its first flight the following July. On 24 January 1994, this Rafale A demonstrator made its 867th and last flight. This aircraft was added to the museum collection in April 2009. The Rafale is referred to as an “omnirole” aircraft by Dassault, with 157 produced to date for France and Egypt.
