A girl can never have too many lipsticks. Every time
my mother saw me wearing that big of a smile, she knows that it is either I
have bought a new book or that I have a new lipstick. I have different kinds of
red and pink; then I realized that while I have every boldest red shade of
lipstick there is, I still don’t own any color beyond that. And by beyond I mean
violets, blues, or black. Well, it’s about to chance because I just had my new
favorite dark, crazy, purple lipstick from Avon.
Deep Orchid may not be the type of shade appropriate
at school; still, nobody can stop me to be Maleficent at times, right? Yes, I
have given my lipstick a nickname. With its dark purple shade, Maleficent is
the perfect name instead of Deep orchid, yes? And since Halloween is just around the corner, this lipstick can be the one you are looking for to match your Halloween costume!
Not like my
usual matte lipsticks, Avon totally kissable lipstick has moist finish, but it
doesn’t mean I like it less. As a matter of fact, this one is one of my current
favorites (See September Beauty Favorites post). I’m not good with undertones;
after a few watches, I concluded that it has a blue undertone. Since it has
moist finish, it glides on smoothly on to the lips during application without
the need of the lip saver, lip balm. The color stays strong for up to 4-5 hours
and leaves, this beautiful red wine stain. Did I mention that it smells amazing
too? I guess not. It smells like caramel, ladies! Totally swoon worthy.

Let’s not even talk about the pigmentation of this lipstick, because that’s the point where all goes. Achieving you perfectly dark lips, that even Maleficent will be ashamed of, only requires one swipe of this baby. That’s right ladies, one swipe and you’re in heaven. Or hell. Pun intended, of course. I know that this shade will totally rock if it’s matte; yet, it is nothing a powder can’t handle – if you know what I mean.
