Story: Dante’s Hotel starts when Goldie Stanton (McCord) is paring for a New Year’s Eve party for Mr Emitt (Raimi) and his hotel. However, a strange death brings Detective Rachel Stone (Bloodgood) in to investigate. She doesn’t believe it to be an accident, and an estranged tenant Daniel Brayer (Nelson) has been waiting for this night.
On the night of the party, the killers start again, and Rachel believes Daniel is behind it. However, what she discovers is hard for even her to believe. It becomes a race against time to figure out how to stop what is happening before it is too late.
Verdict on Dante’s Hotel
Dante’s Hotel is a horror thriller following a curse that has returned to a hotel which celebrates New Years Eve. The lone survivor must prevent the events happening again when it returns for the latest rampage. However, this time more people are prepared for what is to come and the barbaric killings begin.
This movie takes us into a world where a seasonal series of murders happen, and the latest one creates a party to remember for Goldie. It presents an interesting idea, that opens up the door for many more visit, as it could uncover a bigger mystery in the future. This felt like an original idea and one that you could easily enjoy as a horror fan. It has a creepy villain and doesn’t hold back on the scary factor for the kills.
